Reach and back, leaving around 10am Bank Holiday Monday 4th May.
fuss. The organisational presence is kept to a minimum as we demonstrate
that cycling is a perfectly practical way of getting to the fair. Last year
we had perfect weather and over 150 people turned out. If the weather is
kind to us again we expect to double that.”
Adding, “We've spread out the start of the ride so that we don't all go at
once. The Campaign stall bike will be at Midsummer Common from 9 am and the
first group of riders will leave at 9:30am. Then groups will leave every
few minutes until the final departure at 10:30am. With the support of Cycle
Cambridge we're fortunate to have Outpsoken Delivery helping with simple
bike repairs. The ride back to Cambridge leaves at around 2pm.”
And, “The round trip to Reach is 20 miles, but if you want you can ride
with us all the way to Ely and back, a total of 50 miles. We take our time
and enjoy the route which follows National Cycle Network routes 51 and 11
via Wicken Fen.”
