"To celebrate World Vegan Day we spent the night in countryside at a pullet farm. We rescued 12 young pullets who had spent their whole life caged on the farm. There were destined to for a battery hen cage but
they will now enjoy a long life, full of sunshine, grass and love.

This is light years away from what life on the factory farm was like dark, cramped and filthy. This is sadly still the reality for over three million pullets and battery hens nationwide.

These animals have no one but you; go vegan and get liberating.

Until all are free!"

BULLFIGHTING SPONSOR SABOTAGED (Mexico)

anonymous report (translation):

"During four days last week 37 telephone receivers of public telephones belonging to the 'telmex' phone company in Mexico City were cut (with the help of bolt cutters and wire cutters), leaving the phones unusable.
Telmex, in addition to being responsible for the destruction of the planet, also financially supports, directly and with advertising, sadistic bullfights.
The sabotage continues ... it will not stop ...

arm your desires ... do not let the moment pass ...

until the exploitation ends.

eco-anarchist cell for direct attack.

mexico city 31 october 2008"

HLS COLLABORATOR FOLLOWED HOME (UK)

anonymous communique:

"In the news last week: it seems even the most legitimate demonstration is worthy of an early morning home visit from CIBA Vision's private protection squad, Hampshire AR cops. If they don't like people dropping banners then lets see how the fuckers like it when the alternative activists decide to demonstrate.

We followed CIBA worker Dorothy's shitty little car home to Eastleigh, and it looks even worse now it's been treated with paint -stripper and had it's tyres slashed.

Dedicated to all those who have been raided and locked up recently. We are unstoppable - catch us if you can.

3000 MINK RELEASED INTO THE WILD (Canada)

According to media reports, early on October 16 approximately 3000 mink were released from La Visonnière Labonté de Thetford Mines, the largest fur farm in Quebec.

Farm director Pierre Labonté told a local newspaper, "Not only did they open the cages and release mink, but they also destroyed their pedigree cards, which is the trademark of anti-fur militants." (The cards contain irreplacable information about an individual animal's life history.) With the loss of genetic information, Mr. Labonté said the escaped mink are no longer useful for breeding. "We have insurance that protects us against theft, but not against this type of crime," he addded and estimated losses at $200,000.
