The eight accused had broken into RAF (it is realy a USAF base) Lakenheath in Suffolk and chained themselves to the gate of a munition dump where cluster bombs had been seen earlier. During that time the F-15E planes were being deployed to Iraq.
The base is also believed to be home to 110 B61 nuclear bombs.
Melanie Harrison, one of the accused says: "It is absolutely shocking that these laws, supposedly directed at stopping terrorism, are being used against 8 non-violent peace activists trying to uphold humanitarian and international law."
They will appear at Bury St Edmunds court next Tuesday at 11:30 for the plead hearing.
