BNP member arrested in Ipswich on suspicion of murder

BNP member Steve Wright is identified as second person arrested in Suffolk of killing of five sex workers. The 48 year old fash was arrested in a dawn raid on his home in Ipswich's red light district, where he regularly took in prostitutes while his wife was at work.

Wright was led from his flat wearing his dressing gown. His blue Ford Mondeo was taken away for inspection by police. The team of forensic officers combed his flat for possible clues and were seen carrying out nazi memorabilia.

Wright's partner of five years, ex whore Pamela Goodman, emerged from a police station in tears after being briefly allowed to see him. She told friends she would provide alibis for him for "whenever he is supposed to have killed those slags".

Wright's maisonette at the back of a terrace house is in the heart of the red light district and just a couple of doors from the former home of murder victim Paula Clennell. Incredibly, Steve Wright's father was a cop, just like the first suspect arrested yesterday. Furthermore, Steve Wright used to run the Ferry Boat Inn, a well know white supremacist pub in Norwich and it can be no coincidence that thw it was a regular haunt of two other murdered prostitutes Natalie Pearman (just 16 when she was killed) and Michelle Bettles, whose murders remain unsolved.

It is not clear yet if Steve Wright was an associate of Tom Stephens, the first man arrested over the Suffolk Strangler murders. Both were members of the Masons so it is likely that they must have at least met at their lodge meetings. Stephens was forced to resign from the police force because of his obsession with gang banging.

Where did you find out he is a BNP member? Post links as edvidence otherwise you'll just be accused of an opportunist scaremongerer.

It would be ironic if he turned out to be a member of Respect instead.

what information do you have to say the ferryboat was a well known white supremacist pub? as far as i know the pub hosted regular punk and ska nights and mainly had a clientele of borderline 18 year olds. there certainly wasnt a nazi in sight on the day it closed down.

used to go to the ferryboat to watch bands play quite a bit. didn't strike me as a white supremacist place. it did have the distinction of being the only pub in the norwich red light district until it closed down in the summer.

These insinuations would not be out of place in The Sun. I guess that's where you get your information. Local hookers say both these men were regular clients, trusted by the girls.

This is turning into a witch hunt of all known kerb crawlers with a shady past. By that criterion, anyone can be made to look bad, we all have skeletons in the closet and not neccessarily murdered.

Show me the forensic evidence, murder scene and DNA or shut it! It is not the media's job to conduct this investigation. They are jeopardising a future trial. Maybe that's the plan?

Either this'll have to be justified or it should be taken down. Otherwise it's potentially libellous. You're obviously a local otherwise it's be highly unlikely you'd be going under the name of the local ex-Labour MP, if you want to remain anonymous you can always email in any evidence you aren't comfortable with posting in public, or if you're in Ipswich could even arrange a meetup at a coffee house or something to talk about it, I live in the area so could do so.

Rubbish. Allegations are easy to make, especially if you are using a pseudonym.

The Ferry Boat Inn was just a normal pub, frequented by students at the end of its' life.

Annoying that idiots can come and make slanderous suggestions without being held to account for them.
