Call for cyberspace protest against 'Redwatch'

nadezhda | 04.10.2006 08:33 | Anti-racism | Technology | Cambridge

Direct action needs to be taken against right-wing extremist website 'Redwatch'.

The Guardian has a story ( http://www.guardian.co.uk/farright/story/0,,1887102,00.html)
about 'Redwatch', a far-right website which lists the names, addresses and photographs of trade-unionists, anti-racist and anti-fascist campaigners, in order to provide information for members of far-right groups to carry out violent attacks against them.

The website has numerous aliases including:

www.redwatch.org.uk
www.redwatch.net
www.redwatch.co.uk

The article discusses the legal situation of the site, which the site owners claim is mirrored on several servers. Whilst I believe in freedom of speech and I am not sure that the banning such sites is the way forward, I am a firm believer in direct action and the right to protest.

I don't know enough to be able to launch a 'protest' against this website myself, but if anyone with the know-how wants a legitimate target to practice their hacking/DoS skills, this site is perfect.

Certainly there is a web admin (cpanel) interface that could be a good place to start:
