Cambridge Forum - Tues Nov 15th - discussion on climate change

manos repost | 04.11.2005 11:42 | Ecology | Cambridge

Following the success of the discussion meeting on conservation last month
- which everyone seemed to find very stimulating and useful - we are having
another discussion meeting this month, about climate change.

Everyone is welcome to take part - or you can along just to listen if you
prefer.
(People with specialist knowledge about climate change are particularly
encouraged to be there. It was especially valuable at the last meeting to
have so many people with first-hand knowledge of conservation work around
the world.)

There will be one or two short presentations at the beginning, just to get
things rolling. We are still finalising plans for this meeting, so I'm not
sure yet quite what form it will take - but it may include a
carbon-emissions assessment exercise on a few volunteers, by Andy Brown of
'Cambridge Carbon Footprint'.

So please put November 15th in your diary if you are interested in this
event. - and let me know if you would like to have your 'Carbon Footprint'
measured as part of the evening.

By the way, there is a summary of the October 18th discussion being
prepared, which will be sent out to everyone this weekend.

With best wishes, Linda
