Here are some photos of the excellent Wild Thyme event held today (technically yesterday) in the Ross Street Community Centre - brought to you by the fun filled Cambridge Action Network.

This Vegan Community Cafe was really well attended right from the start. Good food, good company, good fun. Hopefully someone can fill in the numbers and more info on what Wild Thyme is all about.

Loads of people pitched in to make the event run smoothly - what a team!

I'm hoping all the pics come out in an acceptable way as I've never uploaded pics to Indymedia before...

Took late! The food's gone...

... From later on in the evening from when I started skiving my duties.

A great night was had! As far as numbers go, I overheard the '70 people!' mark being talked about within 40 minutes of opening.

One of the many goals of Wild Thyme is to raise money for the Cambridge Action Network ( http://www.cambridgeaction.net), who so far seem to spend money on prisoner support, helping activists move around the country and supporting other direct actions and projects.

Other goals that came to mind: Have fun, eat good vegan food, (activist-)networking, expose a happy, well feed captive audience to subversive propaganda...

But that's just my guesswork, I'm sure there's as many reasons for Wild Thyme as there are people involved.

Maybe a bigger venue needed for next time?

a!

so...is it cool to publish photos like this, perhaps not everyone wants to be under the camera's gaze?
it'd be cool to go out to a warm space like wild thyme without worrying about shit like that...

I agree it's a pain to have a camera snapping away, but I must also say that these pics describe this event so much better than words & I am very inspired!
