Pictures of the Make Poverty History Demo in Edinburgh, July 4th, 2005

Well, despite today's events, I decided to publish these pictures, mainly as a reminder of how creative peaceful protest can be.

I was going to write a follow up text on my day in Edinburgh, but, instead I shall quote a comment that was posted right here on the Newswire earlier today;

"Continue the G8 2005 protests. Globalization is the same enemy today it was yesterday. George Bush is the same enemy today he was yesterday.

Nothing has changed to stop the protests. Indeed the reason for the protests becomes clearer through the smoke of the tubes and the smoke and mirrors of Gleneagles."

Never better put.

I shall add to that thusly...

Ultimately, they are still the same hypocrites today as they were yesterday - that is why the events in London took place.

All the more reason to show the world that we won't be hoodwinked with their lies and empty promises.

So, yes, all of you still up there in Scotland, keep protesting, because now, more than ever we need your voices to be heard.

IN SOLIDARITY!!
