Several of these are aimed at keeping an eye on MPs and making sure they are called to account by their constituents for their voting record in the Commons.
Tom will also talk about something quite different called Pledge Bank (www.pledgebank.com) which he started. It is a website that aims to help people get useful things done, where those things require a critical mass of people to be effective.
Chris Lightfoot will also contribute to the evening with a talk about his work on opinion polls.
For the second part of the evening, we will focus on the coming election, with Francis and Tom telling us about website that can help you decide how to vote in order to achieve particular aims.
Mike Brady will also be giving us a quick summary of Simultaneous Policy - a novel approach to politics that could, potentially, bring about a massive increase in democracy worldwide, returning power from big international corporations to the people and their representatives. Just before an election is a great time to get involved in Simultaneous Policy - and it will cost you absolutely nothing.
It should be a great evening, and there will of course be time for questions and discussion.
