New sustainability website grownupgreen, which went live this summer, is pleased to announce a bumper package of articles posted this week. With rising fuel prices in the news, one theme is transport with features such as alternatively fuelled cars, an inner city tram network, freight on British waterways, cycling and even walking.
Organisations including Sustrans, The Energy Savings Trust and The Environmental Transport Association (ETA) are contributors to the theme, leading to the celebration of ‘In Town Without My Car Day’, on 22 September. grownupgreen is an affiliate member of the ETA and offering its members fantastic deals.
Other articles from Surfers Against Sewage and the Marine Conservation Society explore our coast and inland waterways, whilst ethical consumption is explored by the Fair Deal Trading Company and Get Ethical.com
Caro Hart, grownupgreen Development Manager, explained;
“Regular contributions from the Hockerton Housing Project, news and advice from Friends of the Earth and other well-informed organisations and individuals make the site relevant and up to date, seeking answers to how we can live more sustainably without making radical changes to our lifestyle.
“We are proud to bring these features by enthusiastic and knowledgeable people to UK households and are looking forward to grownupgreen members contributing ‘real life’ stories about how they are dealing with the themes we raise.”
grownupgreen takes a questioning, curious look at sustainability. It aims to support people to make more informed choices about the things they buy, the energy they use, their choice of transport, how they dispose of waste and much more.
With all these features plus news, rewards and special offers, www.grownupgreen.org.uk is definitely the site to visit this September.
