Today, to my disgust, I received electioneering propaganda from the BNP.

I'm not quite sure if it was hand delivered or sent via by the Royal Mail.
If any Cambridge postal workers can clarify this, please reply via comments.

Basically I would like to know where else in town has got these nefarious items, to try and establish if there is a pattern to the areas these pamphlets are being delivered to.

Any feedback on this issue welcome via comments - Fascists need not bother to reply (no one will be polite to you)!

hmmmm...yeah they managed to distribute them in our area aswell - basically the postman delivered them (issue?). can't decide whether they manage to make themselves look like enough of a joke on their own without any help from "us" or not...5 new settlements the size of birmingham in the next 30 years to cope with the "tide" of immigrants - i mean come on...

Election bumph for all the parties standing is delivered by the Post. It is part of the Representation of Peoples Act. The CWU, Postal Workers Union, had got some sort of agreement that any workers refusing to deliver this BNP crap wouldn't get disciplined. I think Posties should be encouraged not to help distribute this crap. There have been many posts on the wire about this already. Some with action being taken by Postal Workers.

It's noticeable that any posting about the BNP gets loads of comments - I reckon this is exactly what they want...

i agree that any publicity for them is bad but i think people need to see this kind of thing (like posting it up on here) because however much we like to believe that everyone is aware how much rubbish the bnp blurt out, it is not the case, i thank whoever put this up because we need to know what we are up against

I especially like the idea of blasting out Anti Nazi Tunes on the streets - cool! :-)
Another option may be to pay them a visit with a Samba Band to give them a rude (and very multicultural) awakening!

I suspected this may have been delivered in bulk by the Post Office, which puts them into a very awkward corner, as, on the one hand, they're duty-bound to deliver all political literature, regardless of whether they like it or not, but, in so doing, they can come in for a lot of flack if it's stuff like this.

I'm really not sure if the old saying 'don't shoot the messenger' does apply here though, as the postie concerned could of course, discreetly 'lose' the incriminating items somewhere between the sorting office and our front doors (not that I'm condoning such action, y'unnerstand)!

As for if we should ignore this stuff by just putting it in the bin - no, we shouldn't.

We should kick up HUGE stink about it.

When I got this item through my door I felt violated, in the sense that these scumbags had managed to find a way to get their nasty little pamphlet into my home, without my even having the choice of being able to say I didn't want it delivered there.

There is always the risk that by posting extracts (in this case the graphics, and specifically not the message) from such pervy propaganda at places like Indymedia that 'they' can claim this as a PR victory.
However, judging by the unanimous response of outrage it got from all of you, I find this hard to believe.

Sometimes you have to publicise something in your efforts to discredit it - that's what I trying to do here.

I would like to think that there is STILL the chance that Martin Luther King's 'Dream' can still come true, DESPITE the worst efforts of unenlightened fools like the BNP.

I am surprised so many people have objected to having this rubbish delivered to them. I for one have a greater faith in the British people. They will read it, see the lies and half truths as we all did and reject the BNP and it policies.

how can you argue with what they say i DO NOT vote for the bnp for my own reasons but what you have to look at is the facts, i have reseached this myself and it is true, lancashire alone is now over 52% asian and yet they still get called minorities where in reality the asian community are a majority and the bnp are still voted in. why .BECAUSE ITS A TRUE BRITISH POLITICAL PARTY. look it up dont listen to all you see on the tv it is a jewish run media and they fear the bnp to the extent of trying to destroy it from the bottom calling them "nazi's" if it was a nazi movement why the hell do they have membership available for so-called "ethnic minorities"

i agree with the previous person, we are fed crap by the media, i dont vote BNP either (even though i live in Halifax where their popularity is rising dramatically, the 'minorities' haven't helped themselves by their actions in London) yes, we were also sent these leaflets, but what they are saying is correct, i also researched my local area Bradford, ok, not as bad as the likes of lancashire, but the ethnic minority is 40% pop. in Bradford.
