No New Nukes – No Pre-emptive war!

Repost - Poon | 31.03.2004 17:50 | Cambridge

London to Aldermaston March

There is a strong danger that Aldermaston Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) near Reading, Britain’s own nuclear bomb-making factory, is planning to collaborate with the US to test and develop new nuclear weapons - like ‘bunker busters’ - designed specifically for future pre-emptive wars.

This is why hundreds of people are marching to Aldermaston – please consider joining them

What rubbish

By all means march to Aldermaston to protest against Britain's continuing ownership of Nuclear weapons and I'll be with you but to claim the UK and US is developing a new generation of "bunker busting nukes" is utter rubbish. They are doing nothing of the sort.

We've seen far to many lies on Indymedia of late. This sort of attempt at deception cheapens our arguments

Bruce Kent

With the recent news about Bruce Kent and his wish to see a Soviet Union takeover of the UK during the 1980's I'm not sure he is a suitable person to address a subject concerned with the defence of the UK. In short can he be trusted ?
The other speakers I feel comfortable with

Really? Where do you get your facts from?

31.03.2004 19:26

Hmm, I'm only passing on information from an e-mail...which seems to have taken it's information from  http://www.aldermaston2004.net/background.php

The claim that the US is planning on developing 'mini-nukes' has appeared in the corporate media in articles such as  http://observer.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,6903,1096298,00.html

So, what information do you have on this Andre?

As for you stonewall...

Where do you get YOUR information from? The Daily Mail?! Here's what Bruce Kent had to say about his 'soviet connections' when it was dragged up as a story in 1999...

 http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,267951,00.html

Has it been dragged up again recently? Surely the claim would now be that Bruce Kent is a supporter of Saddam Hussein or Osama Bin Laden. What a load of shit...
