There will be a street party in Cambridge on June 22nd.
Critical Mass, Sound system, Samba band, jugglers, fire eaters, and lots
and lots of happy smiley people all having a good time :-)
The idea is partly to make a statement against car-culture, and to reclaim public space - if only for a matter of hours - for the people.
...but mainly it's just an opportunity for those who oppose war, privatisation of public services, commercialisation of society, dominance of the profit motive, destruction of the environment, and corporate globalisation (or even just any peaceful friendly smiley people up for a party!) to come together and celebrate life in the streets of Cambridge.
Everyone is welcome! If you're not from the Cambridge area then hop on a train or bus and make it a day out.
