After the recent discussion about the house that SHAC bought with funds raised for animal welfare the publicity and questions have clearly got too much and its up for sale. Where [DETAILS REMOVED] will be living remains to be seen.
The two individuals that live there have rented out one of the rooms since the house was purchased. At first this was too like minded supporters but now its for anyone who wants to rent a room in a 100% Vegan house. I assume this is just the next stage.
That price isn't for the house it's for a two week timeshare. SHAC are presumably under some sort of money pressure right now so they need to raise funds.
Thanks for the clarification. I foolishly thought it was because you didn't want people to know that money raised to help the fight against HLS was used to buy a house.
The excuse long used for the justification in the purchase and having to prominent SHAC people living there is that one of them is 'writing a book about SHAC'
This so called book has been in production for nearly two years with no sign of any progress. Don't forget how much money was being generated by SHAC in the early days. A stall in a good sized town could generate 10,000 on a Saturday and a lot of people discovered they could become 'full time activists'. Sarah Whitehead for example lived with her partner for three years on SHAC money while having no other source of income. Neither Jason Mullan or Nicola Tapping worked after 2007 and lived on money coming from the bank account Greg established in Luxembourg.
